There is a saying in Korea: “This place is paradise.” Buddhist monks say, “Paradise is the place where you let go of want.” It is also where you release attachment. In a corner of Seoul’s Moraenae Market, there is a place just like that. A fusion of music and drinks, called Sukha (極樂, Sukha). The owner is also the leader of the band CHS. Through music, drinks, and space, he helps people realize: “Right now, this moment is paradise.”

Sukha is located inside Moraenae Market(Moraenae Market Video), a traditional market near Gajwa Station in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul. Recently, the market has become a hub for young artists and musicians. It blends vintage market vibes with modern creativity, creating a unique atmosphere.
As you step inside, you’ll notice tropical decorations from Hawaii and island countries, along with Oriental-style ornaments and Buddha statues. These details make the space feel like summer all year round, with a touch of Eastern mysticism.
Sukha was originally the owner’s music studio, but during the pandemic, it naturally evolved into a live music venue. Today, it attracts not only local artists, but also famous musicians from Japan and Taiwan.
Live Music & Atmosphere
At Sukha, only bands with a unique style and good reputation can play. Every week, we host live shows and DJ parties. We feature various music genres like indie, jazz, ambient, pop, Latin, and swing. This keeps the atmosphere fresh. On performance nights, we also offer special cocktails inspired by the band, so be sure to try them!
